This £25m funding scheme was launched in April 2008. We facilitated a development workshop for Natural England’s regional advisers that looked at the application process, and were commissioned to advise on the scope and nature of the scheme’s evaluation programme. EUROPARC ~ The future of Protected Area training in Europe
Simon facilitated a pan European seminar involving senior Protected Area managers to look at future option for delivery of training within Protected Areas. Using strategic planning and project management techniques, Project Initiation Documents were produced for identified options.

Working in partnership with Red Kite Environment we reviewed the Malvern Hills AONB Management Plan including full consultation and production of a Strategic Environmental Assessment.
National Trust East Midlands Training Needs Analysis
Development of regional training matrix for all National Trust staff within the East Midlands

Facilitation of development day for the Project Trust to produce 12 month development plan that helped to clarify the roles and responsibilities for all project staff.
Improving people’s access to the Chatsworth parkland
Chatsworth is one of the iconic visitor destinations in England. Many people hear the word Chatsworth and think of the house, gardens and farmyard. But while a million paying visitors enjoy these attractions, they are set within a fantastic parkland which is enjoyed – at no cost – by the same number again. David worked with the Devonshire Educational Trust to see how we can improve people’s experience of visiting the park, how visitors can be encouraged to explore further, and how we can increase their understanding of what it is that makes this such a special place.
Peak District Rail Partnership Posters
A project that produced a series of innovative, eye-catching and quirky public transport posters encouraging people to visit the Peak District using trains and buses. Our role was to develop a specification and appoint and oversee designers.
